The commitment

This website is designed and maintained with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its target. Accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a one-time badge, and the site will continue to be reviewed as its content and technology change.

What is in place

Current accessibility measures include:

  • Semantic page landmarks, a consistent heading structure and a skip-to-content link.
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation, clear focus indicators and an Escape-key option for the mobile menu.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow across screen sizes and support browser zoom.
  • Readable type sizes, considered colour contrast and information that does not rely on colour alone.
  • Alternative text and captions that explain the purpose and context of project imagery.
  • Labelled form fields, understandable error and status messages, and an email alternative to the form.
  • Reduced animation when a visitor has enabled reduced-motion preferences.

Known limitations

Some portfolio images contain visual text, layouts or fine design details that are not reproduced word-for-word in the page copy. Their alternative text and captions are intended to communicate the image’s purpose and relevant context without becoming unhelpfully long.

The contact form depends on the website host and email delivery service, and external websites linked from this site are outside OWL’s full control. If either creates a barrier, email Owen directly and the information or service will be provided another way.

Feedback and alternative formats

If something is difficult to read, navigate or use, email hello@owlcreativeco.ca. If you are comfortable doing so, include the page, the barrier you found and the browser or assistive technology involved.

OWL aims to acknowledge accessibility feedback within two business days. Website information can be provided in an alternative accessible format on request, in consultation with you and at no additional charge.

Standard and review

The site’s current target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This statement describes the work in place and the known limitations; it is not a claim of formal third-party certification.

The statement was last reviewed on July 13, 2026 and will be reviewed when significant changes are made to the website.
