Who is responsible

OWL Creative Company is an independent design studio operated by Owen Denesuik in South Frontenac, Ontario. Owen is responsible for the personal information the studio handles.

What is collected

OWL only collects information that is reasonably needed to answer enquiries, provide design services and operate the studio. Depending on how you work with OWL, that may include:

• Your name, email address, company or organization, selected solution, approximate budget and project message.
• Information you share through direct email, meetings and project correspondence.
• Client records such as proposals, agreements, invoices, feedback and final deliverables.
• Basic technical information that hosting or security providers may record, such as an IP address, browser or device type, referring page, and the date and time of a visit.

How it is used

Information is used to respond to you, assess whether a project is a good fit, prepare proposals, provide and improve services, keep business and accounting records, and protect the website from misuse.

OWL does not sell or rent personal information. An enquiry will not add you to a marketing list without separate consent.

How form information is sent and stored

When you submit the project enquiry form, the information is sent over HTTPS to a form handler hosted with the website. The handler validates the submission and emails it to hello@owlcreativeco.ca, which is delivered through Google’s email service.

The website does not intentionally save the contents of your enquiry in a website database. The handler keeps a limited rate-control record derived from the submitting IP address and the time of submission to reduce repeated spam. It does not include your name, email address, company, budget or message and may remain only until the hosting system clears its temporary files.

Once delivered, the enquiry is stored in OWL’s email account and may also appear in normal email backups. If the enquiry becomes a client project, relevant information may be copied into project, contract, invoicing and business records.

Service providers and disclosure

Hostinger processes the website request and runs the contact-form handler. Google provides email delivery and storage for hello@owlcreativeco.ca. Hosting, email, bookkeeping and other professional service providers may process limited information when needed to provide their services.

Information may be shared with an accountant, legal adviser or public authority where reasonably necessary or required by law. Some providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Cookies and third parties

This website does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking. The hosting provider and externally loaded resources, including Google Fonts, may receive basic technical request information when a page loads.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Those sites have their own privacy practices. This policy will be updated before analytics, advertising or email marketing tools are added.

Retention and security

General or unsuccessful project enquiries stored in email are normally retained for up to 12 months, unless an ongoing relationship or legal need requires longer. Client contracts, invoices, correspondence and related records are kept for as long as reasonably needed for the relationship and applicable tax, accounting or legal obligations.

The website uses HTTPS, form validation, an anti-spam honeypot, origin checking and rate limiting. OWL also uses reasonable account and administrative safeguards appropriate for a small studio. No online transmission, email or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information through the project enquiry form.

Your choices

You may ask to access or correct personal information OWL holds about you, withdraw consent where applicable, or request deletion. Some information may need to be retained for contractual, accounting or legal reasons.
